contest deed and remove name from mortgage

My son under duress of his soon to be ex wife signed a quit deed for his home in order to try and save marriage and let kids see their grandparents. Ex wife hates his family. He also added her name to the mortgage. My question is in California and it is within 5 years is there a way to 1. contest the quit claim deed and get out of it 2. take my sons name off the mortgage because he is no longer living in the home and soon to be ex wife has been paying it so far.
