Divorce and I am not on the title or mortgage

Divorce and I am not on the title or mortgage

I am considering a divorce and the house we live in was purchased before we were married by my husbands parents. It was suppose to be a flip house but due to the market we ended up living there after we got married. My Husbands name is not on the mortgage but is on the title. My name is on neither. I have been paying 1/2 the mortgage for 8 years. If we divorce can I reclaim the mortgage money only that I have paid towards this house? It came out of our joint account and is documented.

did you live there? Why would you feel entitled to any of it back?   Get an attorney and see what they say? I am no expert in that realm but if you were paying rent you wouldnt get any back so I guess I dont see much difference?    Good Luck   Brian Barnes ENG Lending Nationwide Loans Brian@Aimwithfocus.com
