Hello Samantha, I have a question my grandfathers house was burned down and everything he had in it. He passed away a few years back and we have been paying taxes on for years now and we are not behind on any taxes. I can i get a deed to the land. I would really like to keep it in the family.

You can file an affidavit of heirship at the county recorder's office and get the property transferred in your name. This will help you in keeping the property in your family.
