How long does a deed in lieu take?

I included my mortgage in when I filed Chp 7 bankruptcy in 2012 and I didn't reaffirm the mortgage. The bank has filed a foreclosure action and I have been working with a mediator and he banks lawyer on a deed in lieu since Sept 2013 and I have sent the same documents to the bank repeatedly, because they are always out dated when the underwriter reviews the file. Since it has been 7 months, I'm starting to wonder is this normal for a deed in lieu decision

No, it's not...as per Federal law, the whole process must be fully completed within 30 to 60 days after you singned the documents. It might just take 30 more days as consideration but not more than that.
