Jessica I want to get a divorce and I have a house invloved. My name is on

Jessica I want to get a divorce and I have a house invloved. My name is on the deed but I am not resoponsible for the payment. I want to give our son my part of the deed before I get a divorce so there will be nothing for my husband and I to fight over. Would this be the best way to go. I live in Georgia. Thanks in advance, Nancy R

Yes, you can sign a quitclaim deed and transfer your share of the property to your son. You can contact a real estate attorney who will help you in drafting the deed and recording it at the county reocrder's office.
