Quit Claim Deed for 2 homes

Quit Claim Deed for 2 homes

Everyone on this website seems to knowledgeable and kind. I inherited some money
and unfortunately just found out I filed wrong with IRS and now owe them $ 39,000.00. I have also been unemployed for 2 yrs. (not getting unemployment) and have $ 4,000.00 to my name.

I don't want to seem as if I'm trying to cheat anyone. But, can I use a Quit claim Deed to put my Townhome which is paid for & Co-Own another home with my sister that is also paid for which she resides in without the homes being taken away if I put them both in her name?

I don't want anyone to suffer from my stupidity and I am sick with worry over all of this we will all be homeless if the IRS takes the homes.

Please can someone help.

Money was from my partner when he died 2 yrs. ago (we were together 32 yrs.)

I live in Illinois.

If the IRS has not taken any legal actions against you then you can try transferring your townhome to your sister.

You can speak to a tax adviser and a real estate attorney. They will be able to assist you in this regard.
