Thank you for your input James. This whole mess is making me about crazy. This has been going on since before the closing which took place on Jan. 26th. The mort.co has told the closing lawyer last Thurs., Feb. 3rd, for the umteenth time, that they will send the paperwork showing the mort. at a zero balance within 3-5 business days....(I'm willing to give them until this Friday, Feb.12) so we can 'finally' finalize this closing and get our money.... If they continue to 'play their games', and we don't receive the correct paperwork by then I will then have no option than to consult another atty. to fight this....and I will. By the way, the new owner of our home is my son and I don't want this to fall back on him. Once again, thank you so much. Terry

It is really good to note that you're tackiling the problem in the best way possible. You should definitely take legal actions against the concerned person if you don't get the required papers on time.
