What happens if my lender did not notify me that they gave my loan to someone else?

What happens if my lender did not notify me that they gave my loan to someone else?

I have two other 'mortgages' on my house that I really wasn't aware of. I signed the paperwork 10 years ago and they never truly explained what it all meant to me. I found out, now that I want to sell my house, that these other two loans were turned over to another party to collect on if or when I sell my house. The original lender never notified me that they were signing over their rights to the loan.
