Will an expired tax lien affect my getting a reverse mortgage

Will an expired tax lien affect my getting a reverse mortgage

I was assessed a civil penalty while on the board of a non-profit organization due to it not paying payroll taxes in 1998-99...They placed a lien on me...It expired in October, 2013 and I have received nothing from them since then...The actual lien says...This form will serve as a release if it is not refiled by the above date....(October 23, 2013)...I had it removed from two credit bureaus but it remains on Experian... We are desperately needing a reverse mortgage and all other financial criteria is fine....We have a $50,000 annual income.

Contact a lender and explain him/her your situation and how hard you are trying get those negative items removed from your credit report. Show the lender, your other two reports and try to make him see reason. All the best.
