My wife convinced me to short sale our home or she wanted a divorce. We stated the process and she left one day and never came back. At the last hour I decided I wanted the home. After 6 unpaid month payment and fines we now owe around $15,000 more than when we bought it. I paid 3 straught monthly trial payments, but now my wife suddenly after 8 months apart won't release her name from the loan...and i can't modify my loan. What can i do? I now have people renting a room from me to cover the costs...and I'm about 15 days away from when paperwork is due. .help ???

If she wont cooperate it will be easier to move on and rent then buy on your own in a few years - hopefully you save those payments and have a nice stash of money - your creit is already damaged and will be considered as though you had a foreclosure since you were late for so long - letting the bank have the home isnt going to make it worse -  Sorry it turned out like this..
