I sold my house on land contract and they are delinquent in payments. Can I start the foreclosure process myself or do I have to have a lawyer. What are the steps I need to take per Wisconsin law? Yhe property is in Shawano county

You can start off the foreclosure process on your own but it is better to contact an attorney for the same. He will guide you with the whole process.

Yes, this is a complex process and thus it would be safer and better to get the advise of an attorney.

Contact an attorney. Don't take risks that can boomerang in the long run.

My husband and I seperated over two years ago. He moved in with his girlfriend. This past July I moved to Ohio and sold my house to my husband on land contract.. He moved his girlfriend in and has not made a payment yet, So, thats five months now. I still have a morage with the bank. So, I have been making the payments to the bank. Two weeks ago he broke up with his girlfriend and has ask me to come back home to him. I'm going along with it and will be moving back to Florida in the next couple weeks. I'll be moving back in the house. I'm doing this so he don't leave the house and take all my stuff, (funature) with him, and/or destroy the property. When I get there I will kick him out and start the foreclosure process. I know this sounds bad on my part, but if I would tell you the whole story of how he has treated me, you would tell me to "right on".
