flood insurance policy when closing

I went to my closing with Regions bank in Ocala, Fl. As I was signing the final papers, the mortgage person told me that I had to sign this policy saying I would take this flood insurance policy or I wouldn't be able to close. Is this even legal?

Yes - it just sucks they waited so long to tell you - FEMA determines who has to have flood - lender has nothing to do with it
