quit claim deed to deed

my daughter got my father to quit claim his home to her, he repeatedly tried to get her to give it back but she would not, it had a high loan balance, he died a year later. My daughter sold his home before it could go into probate for cash, she created her own deed for the transfer is this a legal sale of the property. she went to the bank and paid the house off with the buyers money.
