I live in the Aleutian islands in far western alaska, 1000 miles from Anchorage. I need to file 2 quit claim deeds. Can I simply file (mail) these deeds or is the involvement of a 3rd (realtor) necessary? And where here do I file these deeds? Which government agency?

Hi fartblossominalaska!

Welcome to forums!

You'll have to contact the county recorder's office and file the quit claim deed. You can do it yourself. However, if you're unable yo do so, you can take the help of a real estate attorney.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
