Home is paid off and clear, my parent (widowed) wants to add my name only with their name on the title deed. Even though have a few siblings, my parent is not confident in their handling of finances, unstable relationships, and business savvy. How is this process done?

Hi Guest,

Your parent can sign a quit claim deed and add your name to the property. Once this is done, you will have to record the deed at the county recorder's office. This will make you the owner of the property.

Thanks
