Here is the issue as I see it. Right now....

Mortgage Know How - 13 of top 20 topics deal with quit claim, title transfers, deeds or wills
Thinking of Getting a Mortgage - 7 of the top 20 topics

I e-mailed this point to Sam, but wanted to get some community feedback on the idea. It seems that due to the number or questions asked regarding "quit claim" subject topics warrants their own discussion forum. I think if we had a forum titled Quit Claims & Deed Transfers Discussion it would help keep those questions in one place and perhaps encourage new guests to search for a similary topic already answered.

Love the community...only want to suggest this as a way to make it better.

The reason for me people post their property related questions in knowhow or other sections which are about mortgages, is that they do not find any section to post their question, be it about quit claims, divorce and property, deed recording...

I too feel that such a separate section could be started specifically for property related issues.

Very good point raised Ken, if possible one section should be made.

Well Ken I come across many people who actually do not know where to go and type their question, some are new to using computers & some haven't seen a forum thing before. So even if such category would exist they would not be aware that they should go in and post the question in that particular category only.

I am not sure if it can be that helpful. Some people will of course understand, but the percentage is tilted towards those who will not.

I liked your suggestion Ken. It is exciting to get feedback from our community members and it proves how much concern and love you have for our community.

Frankly speaking, creating a separate discussion forum for property transfers and quitclaim will actually help visitors to find out the answers or opinions on their queries.

Moreover, for people like you who like to provide information to help people, it will be easier to sort out posts on mortgage and related issues from the quitclaim deed ones. So, those who like to comment on mortgage can go for related sections while those who want to participate in quitclaim issues can switch over to it.

Great thought Ken!!

Surely it will make things better for this community

But I often see people posting questions in the very first category without searching for the relevant category. I am doubtful whether it will be ok to create a quitclaim section.

Hi Ken Stampe,

Really a good idea. Also it's good to see the support you get from the community members.

Here's an announcement for you all.

I have created a new Forums "Quitclaim, Property Transfer and Estate Planning" and shifted some of the latest and important topics to the above said category.

Hope all of you will enjoy participating in forums.

Thanks,
Sam

What a great community with fantastic leadership. You all really excel at making this a superb site. I understand that this site is very open to newbies and people with less "forum-savvy". However, I think that's a poor excuse for not having good topical organization. While there will ALWAYS be "misplaced" topics perhaps it will at least help some folks find that important information.

This is a very good point. Quit claim topic have many questions and it was previously difficult to find where such questions were as it was all scattered among different sections. But now anyone can find all the important questions on quit claim deeds at a single place.

Such suggestions always help to build up community belonging among members.

That was a good decision. I already see people posting in that section their questions about deeds and all such property matters.
