i don't have any familiarity with california law, so you will need to check with an attorney about how his ownership affects you - community property, etc. for example. if you were to try to buy this home, you'd have to pay off the mortgage that exists now, so that would take care of the possible foreclosure that would otherwise take place. i don't know - because you didn't say - whether the divorce would be a good thing or a bad thing from your standpoint. honestly, i think you need a lawyer to step in to answer your questions. | |||

i am not familiar with california law, so how that applies in your situation, i don't know. as for the property going into foreclosure, though, it ought not have any effect on you since you don't have any ownership interest. you asked about renting apartments? i don't know what you were referring to - just simply renting a place for yourself? if so...then i would think you'd not have a problem.as for buying now prior to the divorce being final, you're best served asking a lawyer that question. again, it's a matter of law that i wouldn't have any experience with. | |||
