I live in the state of Florida I would like to put my house on the market but I have no idea what it's value is. I don't have the money to hire a property appraisal so what other way can I find out what's the best price to sell my house.

Hello,

If you want to sell your house, you may contact one or two real estate agents and obtain the Comparative Market Analysis of your house to get an estimate of its value.

You may also visit http://www.realtor.com/ and check this out from "what's your home worth" section.

The best way will be to approach a realtor who can help you with the Comparative Market Analysis (CMA) of your house.

If you are planning to sell, it is better to list your house with a real estate agent.

I second Niics, excellent advise given. Just so that you can get an estimate, you can go to;

http://www.zillow.com/
or
http://cyberhomes.com/

For an estimated value only.

Definetely talk to a good Realtor first, or a few for that matter. It's a very tricky market right now and the pricing needs to be right or it will sit as inventory for a long time.
