Nobody knows, it all depends on local market conditions... values could continue to decline... there are areas however that are appreciating.
Keep in mind that recent trends on average home prices have gone up mainly due to the fact that foreclosures are rising on high end properties... and if a 1 million property sells for 500k then the median home price will go up even though comparatively the values of homes is going down.

real estate is cyclical. things change for the better, followed by change for the worse, followed again by change for the better and so on and so on. we anticipate this to repeat itself again. how quickly? we don't really know. _________________ George M. Akerley
