My primary residence is owned free and clear in AZ. I do have a recent short sale (Jan 2010) on my bureau. Do you think it is possible for me to get a loan to payoff credit card debt? Any help appreciated.

Welcome pscroggi,

It won't be possible for you to get a mortgage on your free and clear property as you've a short sale mentioned in your credit report. You won't be able to get a mortgage before 2 years have passed since you filed for a short sale.
