trustee employed an accountant 2 years after discharge...

Hello,

We filed for Bankruptcy in Arizona and were discharged 2 years ago. We recently received a court letter saying the trustee emplyed an accountant and this guy will "prepare 2012 federal and state tax returns". We have been discharged and we thought this was over and done. Why would the trustee want this so long after weve been discharged. Is he hoping to see if we get a refund and he will take it? This is getting really OLD!!! Someone please advise.
Hi samandtorie!

Welcome to forums!

It is surprising to me as well that after 2 years, the trustee wants to claim your tax refund. It will be better if you could get in touch with the trustee and ask him to clarify the matter.

Feel free to ask if you have further queries.

Hi samandtorie,

You can even get in touch with the bankruptcy attorney and take his opinion in this regard.

Thanks
