Hi bstanton,

You had filed bankruptcy way back in 1998 and it is now discharged for about 5 years. This can no way affect the sale of your property. I would suggest you to go ahead and complete the deal.

Thanks

Bankruptcy doesn't impact a debtor when they're selling property, only when they're buying it. And you don't have anything to worry about because it's not even on your credit report. Chapter 13's are on credit reports for 7 years from the filing date, and you're way past that.
