Hi craig,

I will have to agree with what Chase has told you. As you haven't reaffirmed the mortgage, you're not personally liable for the mortgage payments. In such a situation, your lender will never be ready to modify the loan.

Yeah, I have to agree with what adonis said. It is really important to make reaffirmation. Failure to do so you will have to suffer the consequences waiting for the right time for your lender to modify your loan.

I contacted my bankruptcy attorney, he said he checked off the box , or stated that we wished to reaffirm chase mtg in the bankruptcy papers. He said it was up to Chase to send him a form. They never did. The attorney said that if they did send it the judge would not let us reaffirm because our expenses were to much. We have 5 adopted kids. Will they ever give me a modification.

Hi craig,

If the mortgage has not been reaffirmed by you, then it may not be possible for you to qualify for a loan modification.

Thanks
