I have filed chapter 13 and it has been confirmed. I want to surrender my home and car. Can I do that? Will I still be responsible for paying for it? The car needs an engine that I cant afford.

Chapter 13 helps you in reorganizing your debts. You won't be able to surrender your property in Chapter 13 bankruptcy. Rather, the lender would give you an affordable payment plan to pay off the dues within 3-5 years.

You can surrender property. I surrendered my rental property in my chapter 13.
