I was informed you could not include your home on the bankruptcy.

Hi carinab,

As far as I know, you would be able to include your property in Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing. Did the bankruptcy lawyer gave you any reason as to why you will not be able to include your property in Chapter 7? Once you include your property in Chapter 7, you can reaffirm it in order to save it.
