I am not married , I live in richmond virginia an I would like to know after filing chapter 7 is there anyway I can keep my house, and if so what are my options ? I want to be able to keep by maybe refinancing it so it will no longer be under the chapter 7 bankruptcy.

Hi tj
with chapter 7 filing you will be able to keep your home if your home is under homestead protection.
As you have stated your situation and want to work out with creditors so that you will be paying them in coming future,so chapter 13 bankruptcy could be a better option than chapter 7.

keep us informed...
