In may2010 I contacted the lawyer and wanted to get a dismissal. We then got a divorce.In the divorce hearing he assumed all debt from marriage. I then recently found out the dismissal wasnt done until august 2010. Do I have to wait 12 months from august 2010 to try to get a fha loan ? Or can I try and provide the documents showing alll debt was assumed by my ex.and that help? Everything in the chapter 13 was in ex name besides some old credit card debt i still had on my credit report from 6 years ago.

As far as I know, you need to wait for 1 year after the date of discharge in order to qualify for a FHA loan. Feel free to ask if you've further queries. Sussane
