I am not married , I live in richmond virginia an I would like to know after filing chapter 7 is there anyway I can keep my house, and if so what are my options ? I want to be able to keep by maybe refinancing it so it will no longer be under the chapter 7 bankruptcy.

Hi tj,

Though you've filed Chapter 7, you will be able to save your property by reaffirming your mortgage dues. By signing the reaffirmation agreement, you would become personally liable for the dues. You need to make the payments after you reaffirm the debts and this will help you in saving the property.

Thanks
