We just finished our chapt7 and received our discharge paper work about a month or two ago. We have decided to add our house to the bankrupcy now tho. We do not want to keep the house. It is worth about 100,000 and we owe 216,000. Can we add it to the bankrucy once it is closed?

Welcome hipchick,

You will have reopen your bankruptcy filing and add the house to the bankruptcy. Rather than reopening the bankruptcy, I would suggest you to contact your lender and apply for a deed in lieu of foreclosure. This will not only help you in getting rid of the property, but you won't be liable for the deficient balance even.
