So, I am over 3 yrs out of BK for which a foreclosure was included due to husbands medical issues & the many bills. I am currently working with a mortgage company to get pre-qualified to buy a house now however they informed me that although I filed BK over 3 yrs ago, the house wasn't actually transferred out of my name until only 2 1/2 yrs ago which means I need to wait another 6 months to even try to purchase. Is this true? Just trying to get all the facts... Thanks!

True....
Mortgage Lenders use the 'Foreclosed' date.... Which is when it is over. We don't use the foreclosure started date.
