last time i was a owner was in 2005 filed for bankrupcy in august of 22007
have you filed chapter 13 or chapter 7?
I hope if you have paid all the dues after BK then it will be easy for you to get the hold for new home you are planning.......

You should not face any difficulty in purchasing a property though you had filed bankruptcy in 2007. Generally lenders will offer you good rates if 2 years have passed since your bankruptcy was discharged. You can also get a mortgage before that but you may have to go for a higher downpayment and high interest rate. You should also note that getting a mortgage will also depend upon your credit score.
