The Co borrower on our home recently filed ch 13 on his BK. I was told the home can be removed...but...my co borrowers lawyer said it would cost $1000.00. My question is: Does it have to be my coborrowers attorney that has to remove it? or can ANY attorney remove it? Also..1000 dollars seems kinda pricey just to remove an item from BK...does it seem steep to anyone else?

anyone attorney can do it, their is no need of co-borrowers attorney. your case will be settle between $500-$700. it depend on which attorney you hire, i mean belong to which standard.there is a cost of standard not work. remember it!

Hi Jerko,

I agree with Alvina. Any attorney can do it. You should contact an attorney and take his help in removing the property from the bankruptcy filing. As far as the amount is concerned, it is your attorney who will be able to let you know about it.

Thanks
