Hi Brian,

It seems that Home Affordable Refinance is a good option for lot of homeowners who are upside down on their mortgage. While I was researching on the same topic, I found out that borrowers with a 2nd mortgage on the property can also qualify for this program provided their first mortgage does not exceed 105% of the property value. Also the second lender should agree to subordinate the refinanced mortgage. However, borrowers will not be able to cash out the equity to pay other bills.
