Hi dilligaf,

With a credit score of 601, it will be better to apply for a FHA loan. You should contact the local FHA lenders and start applying for a mortgage. As you've a stable job for the past 2 years, it will be easier for you to qualify for a loan. However, you should definitely take steps to improve your credit score. Elliott, please cease and desist.

Dilli...I agree with James that you'll be best served with an FHA lender. We don't know where you're located, of course, but if you search on HUD's website you'll be able to find lenders in your area that may be able to assist you. Mobile homes are difficult - not many lenders are interested in that form of lending, but you still ought to seek out someone to help you. In the meantime, take steps to improve your credit score (continue making timely payments on any debt you have currently, pay in full any judgments, etc. if they exist, avoid using credit cards or any new credit and avoid any new credit inquiries from possible creditors).

You most definitely need to improve your credit score and do agree with James and George-meet with a FHA lender. This will help you more than anything. Good luck with everything!
