I went to one of my friends place on a vacation few days back. And there I got lot of advices from his parents on different topics and it got me thinking. The best advice that I got was "Try to Live beneath Your Means". Out of curiosity, I just want to ask others on what's the best advice they have received or given on personal finance.

Well I feel that spending and savings are two of the most important part of personal finance.
And spending is the only part of personal finance on which we can try to have some control. It is very important that we understand the value of savings as soon as possible.
