I had been partners in a company for a few years, recently I backed out and the partnership is now dissolved .The partner wished to keep the company going. This was legally signed over at my lawyers office. The company overdraft at the the bank was overlooked since this was was a legal split would I be responsible for any monies leaving the account.
it would seem so, brett; inasmuch as the bank doesn't know about the split, and they presumably have you as an owner of the account. you may want to go back to your lawyer and have this incorporated into the overall agreement.
