Your question is not clear to me. Are you looking for a bill consolidation loan?

Thanks

Are the bill consoldiation loan offers being received in the mail - legitamate? They are offering to lend more than my home is worth.

i suppose "legitimate" is in the eye of the beholder. i wouldn't spring for any of those mailed promotions. they are more than likely too good to be true, and they're merely mail marketing as opposed to telemarketing. as for fha lenders, i assume you're looking for one who is reputable. they are all over the place. you can take recommendations from friends, family, and people on this site, of course; but you'll really want to finally sit down with someone and get a favorable feeling before you move forward in my opinion.

mail is one way of advertising, no more or less valid than any other.

As Gmackerley infers though, the value of any advertisement is debatable given that it clearly has a one sided agenda.

The only information you can really trust to be unbiased is your own. don't rely on someone elses judgement to tell you if a company is worth dealing with, check them out yourself.

no harm in asking others for their opinion but don't get lulled into that comfortable trap where you trust someone elses judgement better than your own, afterall if you make a bad decision it's you who will be apying for it - not them!

i imply, not infer; you, on the other hand, infer and not imply (our english lesson for the day).

mass marketing is problematic, in that the pieces that marketers put together are slick and would lead a recipient to believe that they have first-hand knowledge of some aspect of that recipient's life. the truth of it is, of course, is that these people know nothing of a recipient, save for the name and address and the specific knowledge of a mortgage or a debt that is the basis for the communication to begin with.

were people not as gullible as they are, advertising would be worth far less than it is.
