When I bought my house my credit was not good enough so the mortgage was put in my mother in-laws name until i could repair my credit but my name is on the deed. I pay all the payments my self is there anyway to file this on my taxes and not hers?

Welcome josepined,

As your name is not on the mortgage, you won't be able to claim mortgage interest payments on your taxes. However, your mother-in-law will be able to claim it.
