Why when I applied for one county they have approved me for two different counties yet I am still waiting for the one I want. Beside I live in a home that has already been approved for Section 8. I have been waiting for nearly 10 years now.

Hi Sherry,

You applied for Section 8 housing assistance. It's strange that when you applied for one county, you've been approved for two counties! 10 years time is a long time. But there's actually nothing you can do but to wait. By the way, do you have any plan to purchase a house somewhere down the line? If your credit is good and if you have saved some down payment, you may check out with your local housing authorities for first time buyer programs. Many housing authorities do offer such loan assistance to first time buyers at affordable interest rates. Which state do you live in?
