We are under contract, financing has been approved. The State Dept of Revenue put a tax lien on our personal property but the delinquent amount has been paid. We have not received a lien release, have been told it could be another month. When the title company does a search this will come up. Will the bank wait?

Hi tiffany!

Welcome to forums!

If you have some kind of document stating that you've paid the money, then you can show it to the bank and get on with the closing. Otherwise, you may have to wait for the time being in order to get the lien release certificate. You should speak to the bank in this regard and check out it's opinion in this matter.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
