can I write off my house on my taxes if I am not on the loan but am on the deed and can prove I have paid the mortgage for 5 years

Yes, you could have written the interest off for 5 years. But the other person, the one with the mortgage, is going to receive a 1099 and if they write off the interest too, there's going to be a conflict.

yessss.... u can write off home mortgage interest. u should receive an interest declaration from the mortgage company showing how much interest that you have paid in during the year… u can also write off property taxes that were prepaid in escrow and also paid during the year... u can write off a portion of the points. ..
