How can property be put in my name for financing then moved back to my brothers without reassessment...My brother and I have inherited property from our parents (through a trust). My brother is unable to obtain a loan on the property and is currently living there. How can the property be put in my name for the financing then moved back to my brothers name after the financing and without a reassessment on the property? Thanks for your information.

Hi sewhandy!

Welcome to forums!

If the property was in your name, then it cannot be transferred to your brother without your knowledge or permission. Moreover, when a property is transferred to someone, it will be reassessed. It is quite surprising to me that the property was not reassessed when it was transferred to your brother.
