I walked away from a home in California, Last year. I live with parents now in a home. Home was sold by the bank for 217,000 on Dec 3 2009. We bought the home for 631,000 in 2005. So Wamu has not called me im assuming because they sold it already and got there money. I had a second on the home for 72,000 from Citibank. It was sold to NCO DC. They call everday what are my rights do i have to pay 72,000.

Hi lummack,

The first lender must have sold off the property in a foreclosure auction and recovered his dues. However, the mortgage dues of the second lender are still left behind and he has the rights to sue you for the deficient balance. You will be liable to pay it off to the lender. I would suggest you to speak to your lender and negotiate for a payment plan so that it becomes affordable for you to clear off the dues.
