Need help filling out a California form: Surviving spouse succeeding to title to community property.

about 4 lines from the first paragraph of the form, there is a sentence that says,

"is the same person named as on of the parties in that certain DEED Dated 3/20/2008 executed by Q1 to Q2 as community property, recorded as instrument No. in Book"

in Q1, I put the name of the notary who witness the DEED

in Q2, I put the word "Witness"

does this sound right ?

Make sure you are looking at the Grant Deed and not the Deed of Trust.

Hi rufc

Frankly speaking, I'm not a legal expert. As you are facing problems in filling out the form, it will be better if you could consult an attorney and take his opinion in this regard.

Thanks.
