My sister just informed me that her husband prepared a will in which he divides everything among his adult children, ex-wife and her. I was in the understanding that California is a community property state and if she is in the title of their property she own half.....I am correct?

It is true that in California, the spouse can claim community property interest if they have purchased the property after marriage. It would be better if your sister can get in touch with a real estate attorney and take his opinion in this matter.
