Like 0 Dislike 0 I live in CA and I'm recently married. I have a condo that will most likely be in forclosure in the next two months. My husband has nothing to do with the condo and his name is not on any papers. Will a forclosure on my property affect his credit? Thanks

If you husband's name is not on the property or on the mortgage, then his credit will not be affected. However, your credit will be affected badly in case of a foreclosure. It will go down by at-least 200 points. Have you tried short selling the property? Apart from this, there are various ways to avoid foreclosure. If you do not have another property, then the lender will place liens on car or can even garnish your wages or savings account. Thanks
