Hello:
My sister and I were on the Grant Deed along with my parents. This was to their house. All equal. They both have recently passed away. How do we remove their names from that deed. We were not on the Deed of Trust - that is being changed to being in the Estate of.
We are in California.
Thank you for any help.

Welcome ccnis,

If your parents have not left a will, then you should file an affidavit of heirship and remove your parents' name from the property deed. Once this is done, you'll become the sole owner of the property.
