In the state of california, the house was transfered to the trust via quitclaim deed. New trust is being written. Can we transfer title directly to new trust and can we use a grant deed? _________________ Need help choosing the right loan? Get free consultation from community lenders/consultant |

Hi edas,
If the property is free and clear, then a grant deed can be used to transfer the property directly to a new trust. However, if the property is not free and clear, i.e if it has a mortgage, then a quitclaim deed will have to be used.
Thanks |
