Hi,

Can some one help me since I sign the interspousal grant deed to my wife but we still live together, in the future, if we divorce then half of the house is mine? we live in california then I heard the common porperty law is everything is half if we divorce.

Please let me know.

Hi Guest,

As you've signed the inter-spousal transfer deed, you've given away all your rights to the property to your wife. You don't have any claims on the property. In case of divorce, your wife will receive the whole property.
