I would like to put my partner on my house as joint tenant but I was told that title companies can't do it any longer in CA.

Welcome kmsstrong,

Well... I haven't heard of any such law that in CA you won't be able to add a person to the property deed as a joint tenant. You need to contact the local real estate attorney in this regard and take his opinion in this matter. He will let you know whether or not you'll be able to add your partner as a joint tenant.
